NH Energy Week 2026 (May 4–8) brought together energy professionals, policymakers, community leaders, businesses, and residents from across the Granite State for a week of conversations focused on New Hampshire’s evolving energy future. Organized by a collaborative group of statewide partners and led by Clean Energy NH, the annual event series highlighted local leadership, practical energy solutions, and opportunities for greater community engagement across New Hampshire’s energy landscape. The Community Power Coalition of New Hampshire is a longtime sponsor of NHEW and a proud 2026 Organizing Partner and CPCNH staff participated in several events throughout the week focused on affordability, resiliency, innovation, and local energy action.
The week began in Warner, NH, with a site visit and Q&A held at the Poverty Plains Solar Project, hosted in partnership with project developer Encore Renewable Energy. Attendees toured the new community-scale solar installation, learned about the transformation of the former gravel pit site, and explored how group net metering can provide long-term financial benefits for participating municipalities. The event showcased how partnerships between local communities, mission-driven developers, and organizations like CPCNH can help expand access to local energy generation while supporting community energy goals across New Hampshire.
Later that evening, Jackson Kaspari, CPCNH Director of Member Services and a member of the NH Energy Week planning committee, joined Katharine Cusack of Clean Energy NH and Tori Gerlt of Resilient Buildings Group for a live recording of the Granite Goodness podcast with host and creator Andy DeMeo. The discussion focused on energy policy, affordability, resilience, and optimism for New Hampshire’s energy future.
On Tuesday, Kaspari also participated in the “Community Energy in Action” panel discussion at Tupelo Music Hall in Derry, NH. The talk was part of NHEW's keynote event, which featured a fireside conversation between Clean Energy NH Executive Director Sam Evans-Brown and U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen. Together, these and other NHEW events highlighted how local organizations, policymakers, and communities are working collaboratively to navigate rising energy costs, modernize the grid, and expand access to local energy solutions across the state.
