Effectively and efficiently leading the New Hampshire energy transition

In 2023, the Warner Town Meeting adopted the Warner Community Power Plan.

We are now putting that plan to action to create short- and long-term benefits for our energy users.

How Community Power Works

Warner Community Power combines the buying power of residents and businesses so that together we can achieve competitively priced electricity:

  • In advance of the launch of Warner Community Power, all customers within the Town will be mailed a notice (containing information about their electricity rates and energy supply choice options).

  • The Town is hosting a public information meeting to answer questions about the program at  5 PM on Tuesday January 30, 2024 at Warner Town Hall, Lower Meeting Room, 5 E Main St, Warner, NH 03278.

  • All customers have until February 26th — when Warner Community Power launches! — to consider whether to opt-out, opt-in, or opt-up to choose a cleaner power option:

    • Most customers currently on Eversource default supply service do not have to take any action to benefit from our lower electricity rates: unless they choose to opt-out of the program, Warner Community Power will begin serving them on the date that their utility reads their meter on or after March 1, 2024
    • Select customer groups are not eligible for automatic enrollment (listed below) but may choose to opt-in.

  • After the launch of Warner Community Power, customers are always free to choose to buy power from their utility, or from another market option, by submitting notice in advance of their next utility meter read date.

By accessing the power market, we can control price volatility and choose which energy sources to buy or build.
